Here Is One Use For Reverse Phone Lookup

June 16th, 2010 | by Chris Thompson |

Reverse phone lookup is one way to find out information about who is calling you. There are online services you can use, but you should first try your own search.

You might be able to find the information yourself for free using a search engine. If you have the complete ten digit number, enter it into the search box. Enter the area code first, and then leave a space, and then enter the telephone number prefix, and then leave a space, and then enter the last four digits of the telephone number. Now click the submit button.

If this does not bring up the information you are searching for, take out the area code, and use the name of the area you know the area code represents. For instance, replace the area code 213 with Los Angeles, and then a space, and then the prefix, a space and the last four digits.

If this does not work, then put quotes around the seven digits, this tells the search engine that you want the numbers in that specific order and not a random list of those numbers. If this still does not work, then you can try a paid service on the internet.

Many people receive calls on their cell phones from companies selling everything from magazine subscriptions to coupons for grocery shopping. People try calling the number back using their return call feature only to find that the number does not go through.

One way to find out who is calling you on your cell phone is to use this phone number search method. If the number is from a company trying to sell you something by contacting you on your cell phone, you will see comments online posted by others who have received the same call on their cell phone.

Once you read about other people getting the calls, you can add that number to your list of blocked telephone numbers. This is on way to use reverse phone lookup.
